The Sheer Desperation

A child in the park playing with a kite,
Loses it, and it’s soared until out of sight,
Starring at the sky, I fell into the reverie,
Of the instant, the wave took all from me.

I am soaked in despair,
Does anyone even care?
To see the quondam,
They don’t give a damn.

Like a bug without fend,
Wriggling in a web till the end,
No one’s there to save my breath,
To rescue me from death.
