Until we are parted by death,
In sickness and in good health,
For richer, for poorer in wealth,
Am his partner till life endeth.
Who hath not seen the beauty of tying the knot?
Had two become one in a unification
‘Tis two parts of same mass’ fusion,
No superior nor inferior, both own the same lot.
At times we’re like the sun and moon,
Or else resemble two peas in a pod,
Postnuptial life is a lea to tenderly sod,
Love is what divine feelings boon.
Love another person from the depth of heart,
And thou shalt see the face of God,
As the family groweth and hoardeth the load,
Bliss addeth love-spoons on to progeny’s tart.
As soon as I read, a penny dropped that it was a lovely poem by a loveliest poetess.
